We are pleased to introduce mots — Daniela Nedovescu and Octavian Mot, one of the five artists selected for OOPS: Origin Of Primary Source, Padimai Art & Tech Studio’s first Onchain Artist Residency. Daniela Nedovescu and Octavian Mot, collectively known as mots, are a Romanian-German artist duo who have been working together for over 14 years. Their practice spans installation, film, web series, and digital media, combining emerging technologies, physical environments, narrative, and participation. Their work is concerned with how social and technological systems shape perception, behaviour, and social experience. Through custom software, interactive design, and audiovisual media, mots create immersive and critically engaged projects with cultural relevance. Their work has been presented internationally and received the 2025 Lumen Prize Experiential Award. Their projects have also been featured in Artnet, Wired, Variety, CBS, and Designboom.
